Good morning Grade Threes. I hope everyone had a great long weekend.

Here is what I would like you to work on for this week.

**Memorize Scripture for the month of May, Hebrews 12:2 (NIV).

Daily Practice:

Spelling:

  • Phonograms, use phonogram cards or app.
  • Practice sounding out P4 spelling list words, identify the syllables and phonograms within each word.
  • Practice writing out weekly spelling list words, (read, say, write without looking).
  • Spelling City activity or game (optional).
  • Take the test on Friday and submit.

Reading:

  • 15- 20 minutes story book reading, your chose, (own story book, or from Epic Kids or Raz-kids). Not a book on facts or a comic book. 

Math:

  • Practice and memorize skip counts by 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10, and 11.
  • Try saying the skip counts to an adult with no mistakes.
  • Practice multiplication facts.
  • Watch the two Youtube videos on fractions. Note the second video is Fractions by Numberlock. Skip the ads. Click on the following links.

The Inuit Part 1.

 

Writing:

  • After watching the above video ” The Inuit Part 1″, write in your Journal exercise book regarding the following questions. Remember to start your page with the date and the title “The Inuit“. Also include a picture. Draw with pencil and colour with pencil crayon. Answer with full sentences. Submit By Friday.

Questions to answer regarding the video “The Inuit Part 1” You may have to see the video more than once to find the answers.

  1. Who are the Inuit?
  2. What type of shelter did they have in the winter when they went hunting?
  3. What type of shelter did they have in the summer months when they went hunting?
  4. Which animal did they prefer to hunt when making their outer jackets and clothing?
  5. Explain what the following are: Anorak, Amauti and Atajugs.
